The Production Process
In general cigarette production can be divided into three different processes :

Pre-Production
In this process, after the Careful selection of raw materials in the procurement, the raw materials are blended with flavors.

Production
PT Gudang Garam manufacture cigarettes according to three group varieties: corn husk cigarettes (klobot), hand made kretek cigarettes (SKT) produced by highly-skilled women using wooden-rolling tools and, machined made kretek cigarettes (SKM) using high-speed machine.

Packing
Covers for finished cigarettes are available in several wraps and designed in various sizes to suit product category, content and distribution needs. The packaging function is to preserve cigarette quality and secondly to create brand image for PT Gudang Garam's products. Packaging wraps consist of several covers. The first wrap is glass paper for hand made kretek cigarettes and aluminum foil paper for machine made kretek cigarettes. The second wrap is a packaging that has been through printing process. The third wrap is in the pressed form, and the fourth wrap is in the corrugated form.
